Ondo on Stellar

Bringing Ondo assets natively to Stellar

How Ondo works today, what's missing for native Stellar support, and the infrastructure Rivool / Pods can build to close the gap without requiring a direct partnership with Ondo at this stage.

TL;DR

  • Today there is no Ondo primary market on Stellar, so these assets can't be bought or held natively on the network.
  • Pods works around this as a solver: it takes USDC on Stellar, executes on Ondo's market 1.5 (Ethereum / BSC), and delivers the asset on the other chain.
  • The operation works, but the TVL never stays on Stellar.
  • What's missing to go native: a primary market on Stellar + a DEX with limit orders (a CowSwap equivalent, what Ondo uses in market 1.5).
  • Proposal: Pods / Rivool build this infrastructure and let Ondo's solvers fill orders directly on Stellar, bringing in real, native TVL.
01 Current scenario · no native infrastructure

How it works today

Pods bridges the gap manually by acting as a solver across chains. The trade settles, but the asset lives on Ethereum / BSC — not on Stellar.

Example A Rivool user wants to buy 10 NVIDIA, paying with USDC on Stellar.
U User Rivool Stellar
P Pods Solver Cross-chain
O Ondo Market 1.5 fed by primary MMs Ethereum / BSC
Buy
1 Sends 10 USDC · on Stellar
2 Executes the order as solver
3 Fills in NVIDIA
4 Delivers NVIDIA · on BSC / Ethereum
Sell · reverse flow
5 Sends NVIDIA · on BSC / Ethereum
6 Returns USDC · on Stellar
Under the hood Rivool sends the order to Pods. Pods executes it on Ondo's market 1.5 — which has liquidity because it's fed by primary market makers — and delivers the asset on the other chain (Ethereum or BSC).

No primary market on Stellar

The asset can't be bought or minted directly on the network — it "lives" on another chain.

No native TVL

Value doesn't stay on Stellar; it only passes through on its way to another chain.

Ondo's bridge is slow

Even with a native bridge, it takes up to 1 business day — too slow for a direct purchase on Stellar.

A bridge alone isn't enough

A native Ondo bridge would solve asset delivery, but still wouldn't solve the native-TVL problem.

02 New scenario · native infrastructure on Stellar

Everything settles on Stellar

Pods / Rivool build the two missing pieces, and Ondo's solvers start filling orders on Stellar itself. The asset is minted and delivered natively — TVL stays on the network.

U User Rivool Stellar
D DEX limit orders · CowSwap eq. Stellar
S Ondo Solvers fill the orders Stellar
M Primary Market mints the asset Stellar
Buy · fully native on Stellar
1 Order: buy 10 NVIDIA · with USDC
2 Exposes the limit order to fill
3 Mints / supplies via primary market
4 Native liquidity back to the DEX
5 Delivers NVIDIA · on Stellar
TVL stays native on Stellar
Infrastructure to build
01

Ondo primary market on Stellar

Lets the asset be minted / bought directly on the network — exactly what Ondo already operates on other chains. This is the on-ramp for native TVL.

02

DEX on Stellar with limit orders

A CowSwap equivalent — the same mechanism Ondo uses in market 1.5. It lets Ondo's solvers fill orders and resolves the liquidity gap on Stellar.

03 The opportunity

Why this matters for Stellar

Native TVL

Ondo assets become native on Stellar, with real value held on the network — not just passing through.

Liquidity solved

A DEX with limit orders plus Ondo's solvers removes the liquidity bottleneck that blocks native trading today.

Buildable now

Pods / Rivool can build this today, without waiting on an immediate formal partnership with Ondo.
